Duffel of Dreams Charity Fly-in
A unique experience at the Pineville, Louisiana Airport that brings pilots and the general public from across Louisiana together to support foster children. The event's main goal is to raise awareness and advocate for children in the foster care system. The community has joined hands to ensure the success of the fly-in by providing food and drinks, yard games, raffle prizes, live music, Disney characters, jump houses, free airplane rides and sponsorship. All the proceeds raised at the event will go directly to providing filled duffel bags to children in foster care.
Raising Cane's Giveback Fundraiser
The well-known Louisiana based fried chicken restaurant, Raising Cane's, has joined forces with Duffel of Dreams to raise awareness for foster children in the local community. Their moto is "ONE LOVE" and love is exactly what they provided. The Pineville, Louisiana Raising Cane's devoted the entire workday to run a giveback fundraiser that would provide 15% of sales to support building duffel bags for foster children.
Select Trends After Hours Charity Event
Select Trends Boutique is a local owned small business in Ball, Louisiana. They sell women’s clothes and accessories for all ages online and in their brick and mortar. Select Trends partnered with Duffel of Dreams to raise funds and advocate for foster children during their after-hours shopping event. The locally owned business donated 20% of all sales to Duffel of Dreams to ensure necessity items were able to be placed in the foster children's duffel bags.
Celebrity Softball Game ft. Cody Ford
NFL star Cody Ford gave back to his hometown by partnering with Duffel of Dreams. The collaboration started with the first annual Celebrity Softball Game. The Game was played to bring the community together to show support for the foster children and families in the local area. Pineville High School (Cody Ford's and our founder Danielle Poteet's alma mater) provided the location for the softball game. Participates ranged from NFL/MLB/NBA players, local celebrities, and our founder. All raised funds were donated to Duffel of Dreams and matched by the NFL Player's Association to provide filled duffel bags to foster children.
Virtual T-Shirt Fundraiser
CustomInk, an online retail company hosted a virtual t-shirt fundraiser for Duffel of Dreams. The retailer provided a link to the design of the Duffel of Dreams t-shirt to share with our supporters. Through the fundraiser supporters were able to purchase merchandise and provide a monetary donation if moved to do so. All raised funds went to supporting foster children by providing them with needed goods.
